A new report by Acumen, LLC evaluates providers of carpal tunnel syndrome release procedures with respect to their post-operative patient care, specifically on the avoidance of therapies which may accrue unnecessary healthcare costs on patients and insurers without improving patient outcomes.

This report provides insight on the avoidance of routine use of occupational and/or physical therapy after carpal tunnel release in outpatient settings using Medicare Fee-for-Service (FFS) claims data combined with data from commercial claims.
